A downloadable asset pack

This project was made for a 1st year 3D fundamentals unit, with the brief of creating a scene in unreal engine.

All assets (aside from the tilable textures used for the floor/walls, the planks on the mezzanine, the candle flame texture and default substance painter smart materials) were created by myself.

With this project I focused on exploring a range of techniques and engine features such as:

  • Baking highpoly meshes too normals.
  • UDIMs/virtual textures.
  • Nanite tessellation. 
  • Niagara fluid simulations.

Along with the the fly through video, I have also provided an .FBX export of the scene, and a log book that covers more technical aspects of creating the scene.
